The Ice Skating Rink is located within the City Park of Budapest, and it is overlooked on one side by the Vajdahunyad Castle. The venue was set up in 1926 and, despite its being operational only in winter, it is a major attraction of Budapest even in summer.

Indeed, during the summer season, the lake is, as a rule, an excellent opportunity for boat leisure tours, whereas in winter it is turned into a skating rink, actually, the largest open-air skating rink in Europe.

Sundry cultural events are organized on the lake shore in the off-season, which is, again, a tourist opportunity not to be missed out by visitors of Budapest.
