Hungarian Theater Museum and Institute
Theater is one of the most prominent forms of art on the cultural scene of Budapest. Its history goes back to centuries ago.
The mission of the Hungarian Theater Museum and Institute is precisely to register as much as possible from the history of the national theater scene of Hungary. Besides the collections of sundry artifacts and materials related to theater performances, the institute aims to put together a database able to show the trajectory of the national theater from its beginning until now.
The Bajor Gizi Theater Museum is where some of the permanent and temporary exhibitions of the institute are hosted, the former being a branch of the later.
